03 Sep 08 Google Chrome Speed Test

Cnet published an article about how Google Chrome is kicking ass on the speed front, proving they’ve delivered what they’ve promised – a super fast browser.

It’s still very early days, but Chrome looks like the real deal. All it needs now are the extensions to match Firefox :mrgreen:

02 Sep 08 Chrome First Impressions

As a Firefox lover, i have to admit, Google Chrome is looking pretty slick and i could well be moving from Firefox to Chrome.

There’s a few things i like right away;

  • No crap at the top of the window/page – just the bare minimum, increasing vertical page real estate.
  • You can search google from within the url address bar – very handy
  • ‘Incognito mode’ which basically allows you to browse under cover, leaving no traces of what sites you visit – very handy if multiple users are on your PC.
  • on start up, it shows your most visited pages in a thumbnail fashion – very handy
  • on start up, it displays a bookmarks toolbar which is a great use of space.

So overall, Chrome looks really impressive yet simple – a typical Google product. What do you guys think?!
